Thobeka Buswana School for Girls is a pioneering institution built on decolonised education, holistic girl development, and the deep conviction that learning must go beyond the curriculum.
Who We Are
Founded in June 2017, Thobeka Buswana School for Girls was built on a conviction that education must liberate — not merely inform. We are a school designed as a third space: a site of agency, safety, and belonging for girls who deserve more than what conventional schooling offers.
Our approach honours indigenous knowledge, ancestral wisdom, and the land as teacher. We are preparing girls not for the world as it is, but for the world as it should be.

Our vision is to foster a generation of girls who are not only educated but are deeply connected to their heritage and empowered to act as guardians of their environment.— Thobeka Buswana School for Girls · A Vision for the Future
